We are currently recruiting for qualified smart meter engineers in many areas of the UK. 

 

The Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer Role:

The Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer role is field based so you will also need a full driving licence for this role. You will be primarily responsible for efficiently and effectively carrying out gas and electrical smart meter installations, exchanges, removals, or replacements in customer properties.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs.

- Ensuring all time bands are met for all works allocated.

- Providing exemplary customer service by being punctual, polite and working tidily at all time.

- Ensuring customers are kept up-to-date at all stages of the installation, including estimated arrival time.

- Carrying out risk assessments as required.

- Carrying out regular stock takes to ensure that the allocated commercial vehicle is fully stocked and to report any defects or issues.

- Working with personal Line Manager to manage own professional development.

The Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer Package:

Basic salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum. Both are immediate options based on your ideals. 

Overtime: You'll also have the opportunity to earn overtime in this role.

Benefits include:

- Bonus £20 per dual / £10 per single (after 6 meters = e.g. Bonus on anything after 3 duals a day) bonus is daily. There will not be weekly targets and any bonus made that day is secure.

- Over time optional at £17 per hour.

- Van and fuel card provided.

- Van, uniform, tools, PPE and fuel card provided.

- No call out or stand by required.

- Long-term contract.

We are also funding our current engineers to complete their full electrical qualifications as part of their progression.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Source Heat Pump Installer to join our team and contribute to our mission of promoting energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprints.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Install air source heat pump systems in residential and commercial properties according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.

  • Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site assessments to determine the optimal placement and configuration of heat pump systems.

  • System Integration: Ensure proper integration of the heat pump system with existing heating and cooling infrastructure.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to heat pump installations, ensuring efficient and effective operation.

  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain installation procedures, system operation, and maintenance requirements.

  • Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation, including installation reports, customer agreements, and system registrations.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in installing air source heat pumps or similar HVAC systems.

  • Certification: Relevant certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of tools and equipment related to heat pump installation. Strong understanding of electrical and refrigerant systems.

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues effectively.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

  • Driving License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Position: Property Surveyor

About Us:
We are looking for a skilled and organised surveyors to join our team and lead projects that improve energy efficiency and energy management. 

Responsibilities:​

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct detailed assessments of existing buildings to identify energy-saving opportunities and exisitng infrastructure. 

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, including health and safety guidelines.

  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed by contractors and ensure that all work meets specified requirements and standards.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including schedules, budgets, and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Experience dealing with customers and completing assessment forms. 

  • Certification: Preferred to have some experience in the utilities sector but not essential. 

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of energy meters, energy efficiency measures, and retrofit technologies.

  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple surveys simultaneously.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues and develop solutions to ensure project success.

  • Driving License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Scheduling / Jeopardy
Co-ordinator

We are seeking a Scheduler / Jeopardy Co-ordinator to join our smart metering team. The ideal candidate for the position will have telephone experience, familiar with a fast-paced environment, has experience co-ordinating workloads, and has the ability to make decisions in quick time. The Jeopardy Co-ordinator will be working closely with a number of people and departments, including the field engineers, admin team, and management team.

Jeopardy Co-ordinator explained - We manage a team of approximately 50 smart meter engineers and each day we have a responsibility to ensure that each job given to them goes ahead. When time starts to go against an engineer, this role will involve managing the work volumes between all engineers to ensure all work is complete.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing engineer work loads.

  • Notifying the field teams of in day updates

  • Tracking schedules and completions of work.

  • View work schedules in advance and liaise with relevant departments

  • Make amendments to schedules if and when required

  • Prepare performance reports for management.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
