SAFETY INSPECTIONS
At SocialCru, we work on and support the electricity network in Central and Southern Scotland, Merseyside, Cheshire, and North Shropshire. No matter who you pay your electricity bill to, there is a network that manages your incoming supply, the network will help if you need a new or upgraded power connection or any associated issues.
Safety inspection program in your area
With the introduction of “Smart Meters”, there may no longer be any need to visit customers properties to collect a meter reading. As a result of this, SP Energy Networks have now established a routine inspection programme across our electricity network to inspect the condition of a piece of equipment called a ‘cut out’.
Our service partner who will carry out this inspection, will contact you to survey your property and discuss the inspection and upgrade process with you. You can also contact them directly to arrange a time that suits you.
What you can expect.
These inspections will be free of charge and shouldn’t take any longer than 15 minutes to complete. You wil receive a letter to explain when the team will be in your area and ask that you provide access to electrical point.
All engineers are fully trained and can offer advice and contact details should you need them. They carry identity cards with their company name, their own name, and a colour photograph. Where possible, vehicles and clothing will also have the Network operator or service partner logo. Any employee making a call to your home will be happy to explain why they are visiting.
